Looks like Barclay is using his words to write the Gospel of Luke, sort of "paraphrase", but I like it. Much like The Message, it is easily read and understood. I thought perhaps there would be a "commentary", but I don't see it so far. I really like the clearness. Barclay claims: "of all the gospel writers, I think you would have liked Luke best of all"--I found quite interesting, for everyone loves John.
